Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Logan Justis (ranked 1909 p4p, 3464 weight class) and Cajetan Shashi (ranked 268 p4p, 417 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Logan Justis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cajetan Shashi! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Justis. Justis lands a slapping body shot.
Justis stuffs the takedown attempt from Shashi. Shashi gets slowly back to his feet. Justis is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Shashi. Justis has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Justis tries to land a body kick and Shashi counters by clinching up. Shashi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Justis smiles and moves away.
Shashi drives through and clinches with Justis against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A short left from Shashi. Shashi is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Justis is defending well. Logan Justis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cajetan Shashi. Justis breaks from the clinch.
Shashi misses with a body kick. Justis throwing a counter right hand but Shashi manages to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Justis throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Cajetan Shashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Justis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Justis ducks under a wild hook from Shashi. Shashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Justis moves away. Justis is looking to counter punch. Justis connects with a looping right hand.
Shashi wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Shashi fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Logan Justis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shashi looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Shashi stalling away here and it's allowed Justis to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shashi won't allow Justis to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Justis has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shashi off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Shashi throws a head kick that half lands.
Shashi fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Justis was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Shashi connects with a high kick. Shashi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Justis throws out the jab. Justis misses with a wild body shot. Justis throws out a loose jab but Shashi uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shashi throws a head kick that misses. Shashi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Shashi misses with a takedown attempt and Justis counters with a nice body shot. Shashi misses with a takedown attempt and Justis counters with a stiff right hand. Justis connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Justis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shashi.
Shashi drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Justis defends it well. Shashi shoots and misses and Justis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shashi is rocked! Shashi doesn't manage to clinch there - Justis circles away.

Shashi tries to bum rush Justis with a series of wild strikes but Justis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The fight stays on the outside here - Shashi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Shashi throws a sloppy head kick and Justis counters with a nice right hand that sends Shashi toppling to the canvas! Shashi scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Justis finish him?! Shashi is still on wobbly legs! Can Justis finish him? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Justis finds Shashi's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Shashi flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Justis lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Shashi will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Logan Justis! Jumping up and down and very excited, Logan Justis waved his t-shirt featuring Ma Balls Is Hot Clothing's logo in front of the cameras.
