The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toguchi throws an overhand right that lands on Gonzales's shoulder, as Gonzales tries to avoid the shot.
Toguchi looks to score with a jab to the body but Gonzales is just out of range.
Gonzales fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Toguchi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gonzales dives in and grabs Toguchi's left leg, looking for a takedown. Toguchi pushes down on Gonzales's head and hops out.

Toguchi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gonzales can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Gonzales reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Gonzales taps out! Nice BJJ there by Toguchi!
