Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joad Cressbeckler (ranked 816 p4p, 926 weight class) and Darry Curtis (ranked 114 p4p, 129 weight class). Cressbeckler comes into the arena with American Remains blaring out of the sound system. Curtis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stevie Wonder - Stay Gold kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curtis tries a head kick but it misses.
Cressbeckler swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Darry Curtis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Curtis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cressbeckler.

Cressbeckler has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
