PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Snake Avildsen (ranked 4217 p4p, 4222 weight class) and Sato Toguchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Sato Toguchi was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Snake Avildsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sato Toguchi!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Toguchi missing with a left hand there. Avildsen was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Avildsen has control of Toguchi's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Toguchi regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Toguchi isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Avildsen stacks Toguchi on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Avildsen!

Avildsen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Toguchi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Snake Avildsen.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Avildsen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
