Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davido Monto (ranked 666 p4p, 1644 weight class) and Michael Swango (ranked 87 p4p, 209 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Davido Monto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Swango! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Monto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Swango paws at him with a jab and circles away. Monto showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Swango.
Monto misses with a takedown and Swango counters with a nice uppercut. Monto goes for a double leg but Swango avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Swango continues to drive forward. Monto is working for takedown but Swango is calmly controlling the position for now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Davido Monto. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Swango gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Monto.

Monto dives in for a single leg takedown but Swango sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Swango appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Swango breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nice takedown defense from Swango. No joy for Monto on that attempt. Monto closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Swango is defending against the submission attempts here by Monto.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Swango manages to escape and get back to his feet! Monto feints and as Swango raises his hands in defense, Monto changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Swango wants to get back to his feet but Monto is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Swango is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Swango utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Swango wants to stand up but Monto is controlling him. Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Swango wants to stand but Monto is controlling the position. Monto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Monto tries to free his leg and advance position but Swango is retaining full guard. Swango is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Monto accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Monto drops back looking for a leg! Swango is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Swango manages to kick Monto off! Monto jumps back into Swango's guard. Monto gets the takedown into side control. Swango pushes Monto away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Monto gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Swango managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Monto.
Swango is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Monto working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Davido Monto dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Monto shoots for a takedown but Swango saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Swango has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

A little jabbing left from Swango on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Michael Swango seems to be getting the better of the standup. Monto fails with the takedown. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Swango wants to stand up but Monto is controlling him.

It's a sloppy attempt though and Monto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Swango pushes Monto off and scrambles back to his feet.
Monto tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Swango paws at him with a jab and circles away. A jab lands there for Swango. Swango uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Monto has time to react. Swango cracks Monto with a right hand to the side of the head. Swango might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Swango falls off balance throwing a combination
and Monto counters with a shoot takedown. Swango fights it but they end up in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Swango comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Swango has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Michael Swango! Michael Swango tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
