Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seppo Sepi (ranked 22814 p4p, 22865 weight class) and Terry Evans (ranked 290 p4p, 266 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Sepi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Terry Evans!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Wagner Zegers and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sepi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Evans!
Evans is looking for a sweep.
Sepi with the ground and pound but Evans regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Evans keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sepi lands strikes from half guard.
Evans wants to control but Sepi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sepi passes the guard and advances to mount!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Evans keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Evans wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Sepi.
Evans is working to get back to half guard.
Evans holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Sepi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Sepi thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Evans is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Evans wants to hold on but Sepi pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sepi unloads with some shots from mount but Evans bucks and avoids them well.
Evans manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Evans is trying to maintain the position but Sepi is very close to passing his half guard.

Sepi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Evans knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Sepi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Evans tries to kick Sepi off but Sepi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sepi is looking to advance position but Evans won't allow it.
Sepi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Sepi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sepi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Evans gets full guard.
Sepi forces his way into half guard.
Evans tries to kick Sepi off but Sepi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Sepi frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Sepi throws some wild stikes that Evans manages to avoid easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sepi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Sepi lands in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sepi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Evans's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Evans wants to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sepi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Evans has his feet on Sepi's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Sepi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Evans to the ground. Sepi is now in Evans's guard.

Evans not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sepi is one step ahead there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Evans slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sepi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Sepi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sepi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Sepi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sepi pushes down on Evans's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Sepi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Sepi shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Evans's guard.
Evans is trying to control the position but Sepi postures up.
Sepi passes Evans's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Sepi prevents Evans from improving his position.
Sepi is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Sepi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Evans's head.

Evans is looking to improve his position but Sepi isn't that keen on the idea.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Evans's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Poor strikes thrown by Sepi there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Well Sepi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
