The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kasai has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kasai blocks an elbow strike.

Kasai breaks the clinch.
Ximenes throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
We've been hearing reports that Ximenes has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Kasai has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Ximenes throws a head kick that misses.
Kasai scores with a hook to the body. Ximenes takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Ximenes tries to bum rush Kasai with a series of wild strikes but Kasai uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Kasai throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ximenes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kasai gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Ximenes is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Kasai digs a right hand underneath Ximenes's ribcage. Ximenes let out a lung full of air as it connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kasai lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ximenes backwards.
Ximenes tries to pull guard but Kasai forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Kasai is trying to break the clinch but Ximenes is controlling him.
Ximenes avoiding damage as Kasai throws knees to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Kasai lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Kasai gets through Ximenes's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Kasai lands a nice uppercut.
Ximenes's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Kasai cracks Ximenes with a nice body shot.
Ximenes wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kasai has him pressed against the cage.
Ximenes swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Kasai escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A jab from Kasai finds it's way through Ximenes's defenses.

Ximenes is rocked!

It looks like Agostin Ximenes has been cut.

Oooooh!!! Kasai has knocked Ximenes down with a huge combo! Kasai steps away and waves a wobbly Ximenes back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Oh Ximenes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kasai connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Ximenes out cold! This one is over in a flash!

Keizo Kasai decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
