Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Evil Dead (ranked 474 p4p, 890 weight class) and Mew Choo (ranked 65 p4p, 125 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Evil Dead! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mew Choo! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dead shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Choo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Dead postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dead controlling from the top position. Dead got a little sloppy there for a moment and Choo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dead has managed to get both his arms back between Choo's legs - danger averted. Choo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dead can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dead's corner is telling him to maintain position. Choo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Our spies down at at Crapollas Gym inform us that Choo has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
That's one minute gone in the round. Dead is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Choo is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Dead passes into half guard. Dead perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Choo gets back to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Choo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dead defends well. Dead with a flurry of punches that miss. Dead controls from within his opponent's guard. Choo is looking for a guillotine. That's three minutes gone in the round. Choo being controlled here, momentarily. Dead has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Dead wants to get up but he can't break Choo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Choo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Dead finds it's way round the side to connect with Choo's head. Dead swings for the body but Choo moves out of range.
Choo takes a swing at Dead's ribcage but misses. Choo tries to clinch up but Dead circles away and keeps his distance. Choo swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Choo sizes up Dead with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Dead walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Choo throws out a loose jab but Dead uses good head movement to avoid it. Dead misses with a low kick. Mew Choo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dead wants to slow Choo down by chopping away at his legs. Choo misses with a straight left. Choo throws the left hand but Dead avoids the punch easily. Nice body punch from Choo. Choo looks to score with a jab to the body but Dead is just out of range. Dead throws a low kick but it's checked well by Choo. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dead connects with a leg kick. Choo getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dead tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Choo was well out of range. Poor timing from Dead. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mew Choo will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Choo misses the jab. Choo throws a lazy right hand but Dead sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dead swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Dead throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Choo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dead scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Dead misses with a body shot.
Choo throws a body shot but no joy. The crowd cheers as Dead lands an impressive looking overhand right. Choo doesn't seem phased though. A big left from Choo misses. Dead jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Choo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Choo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Dead with a hook. Choo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Dead throws out the jab.

Dead moves into range and connects with a jab. Choo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dead was well out of range. Poor timing from Choo. Dead dips to his left and cracks Choo with an uppercut! Dead fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Choo looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Choo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Dead stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. We've been told by Dead's head coaches at Team Grunt that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Choo connects with a single shot there. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dead lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Choo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Choo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. A nice leg kick from Dead, right into the meat of the thigh.
Choo misses with a shot to the body and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. A punch lands to the side of Dead 's head but he takes it in his stride.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dead misses with a leg kick. Choo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Choo moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. A looping hook to the body misses from Dead. Choo does a little dance to reset his feet. Choo swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Choo ducks under a wild hook from Dead. A little jabbing left from Choo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Choo lands a right hook to the body.
Choo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dead.
Dead takes a shot right to the bread basket. Dead connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Dead bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dead misses with a lunging right hand
and Choo counters with a nice uppercut. Choo darts in trying to clinch and Choo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Choo changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Choo closes the distance and clinches. Dead struggles to land a body shot inside as Choo controls his hands.

Choo pulls guard. Dead is posturing up here but Choo has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Dead tries to roll out but it's too tight and Dead has to tap! Slick submission there by Choo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Mew Choo! Mew Choo gave a mention to Brooklyn Apothecary in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
