Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kris Jakua (ranked 1682 p4p, 3558 weight class) and Miguel Machin (ranked 189 p4p, 312 weight class). Machin has chosen Pandora's Music Box as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kris Jakua! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Miguel Machin! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Machin takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Jakua scores with a jab to the jaw. Machin drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Machin preventing the sweep. Machin wants to control from the top but Jakua keeps moving. Jakua pulls Machin in close to prevent any damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Machin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Machin stands and throws Jakua's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Machin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jakua has escaped the position, nice work there. Machin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Machin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jakua has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Machin but great work by Jakua. Machin manages to get back to half guard. Jakua decides to return to a standing position. Machin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jakua sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Machin somewhat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machin decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Jakua manages to escape and get back to his feet! Jakua looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Machin fails to land the takedown. Jakua connects with a body shot that sends Machin's belly button to the back. Machin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jakua jabs Machin to the body, keeping him at a distance. Jakua with a body punch. A glancing blow. Machin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jakua counters with a right hand to the body. Kris Jakua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Machin. Jakua fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Machin goes for a double leg but Jakua avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jakua continues to drive forward. Miguel Machin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jakua stuns Machin with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Jakua lands a nice looking body shot.
Jakua is looking to wear down Machin with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Jakua digs a good body shot into Machin's ribs. Jakua lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Machin at a distance.

Jakua clobbers Machin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jakua jabs at Machin's body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jakua lands a nice shot to the body.
Jakua misses with a wild body shot. Machin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jakua defends it well. Jakua scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jakua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Machin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Machin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Jakua lands with a good body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Machin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Jakua counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Jakua fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Machin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Jakua tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Machin was well out of range. Poor timing from Jakua. Jakua really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jakua misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Machin.
Machin takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Machin misses with a takedown attempt and Jakua counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jakua lands a body shot.

Jakua connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Machin takes a body punch but keeps moving. Machin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Machin fails with the takedown and Jakua counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jakua misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Machin.
Machin shoots in for a takedown but Jakua shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jakua appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Machin takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Kris Jakua dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Jakua scores with a jab to the body. Machin fails with the takedown. Jakua throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jakua keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Machin walks into a stiff left hand from Jakua. Miguel Machin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Machin shoots in looking for a takedown but Jakua manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Machin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Kris Jakua has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miguel Machin. Jakua scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jakua connects with a good right hand that stumbles Machin. Machin circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Machin is rocked! Jakua scores with a hook to the body. Machin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Machin is still on wobbly legs! Can Jakua finish him? Are you kidding me?! Jakua ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Machin clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
