The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Hickinbottom misses
and Soza counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Soza is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Soza has eaten all the pies!
Soza pushes down on Hickinbottom's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Soza trying to pass the guard but Hickinbottom defending well.
Soza has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Hickinbottom defend it? Soza steps over the head and cranks it - Hickinbottom is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Soza!
