Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pauke Murhapuro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Lenny Kowalski! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murhapuro looks to land a right hand but Kowalski moved out of range. Kowalski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Murhapuro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A jab lands there for Murhapuro. Murhapuro has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Murhapuro takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Lenny Kowalski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Murhapuro misses with a hook. Kowalski ducked under it nicely. Kowalski looks like he wants to counter punch here. Murhapuro misses with a straight right. A good leg kick by Murhapuro. Kowalski connects with a looping right hand.
Kowalski scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Murhapuro has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Kowalski finds it's way round the side to connect with Murhapuro's head. Murhapuro misses with an uppercut. Kowalski saw that one coming. Murhapuro looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Good standup being displayed there by Kowalski as he connects with a hook. Murhapuro moves out of range of the strikes. An attempted straight right counter from Murhapuro misses the target. Kowalski slips under a jab from Murhapuro. A clash of legs there as Kowalski blocks the low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murhapuro throws a body shot but no joy. Murhapuro is looking to chop away at Kowalski's legs. Kowalski looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Murhapuro misses with a straight right. Kowalski swings for the body but Murhapuro moves out of range.
Kowalski is looking to slow Murhapuro down with leg kicks. Kowalski moves into range and connects with a jab. Kowalski looks to land a left hand but Murhapuro moved out of range nicely. Murhapuro throws a shot from downtown. Kowalski moves away and avoids it. Murhapuro keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Kowalski lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kowalski misses with a body shot.
Murhapuro throwing a counter right hand but Kowalski manages to avoid it. Kowalski jabs Murhapuro right on the nose. Murhapuro blinks but takes it well. Murhapuro swings widly with a right hand
and Kowalski counters with a good low kick that Murhapuro was not able to check. Murhapuro defending well as Kowalski loads up on a big left hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murhapuro checks a low kick from Kowalski. Murhapuro looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. Kowalski misses with a hook. As Kowalski backs away, Murhapuro returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Murhapuro takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murhapuro just misses with a punch to the body.
A jab from Murhapuro misses. Murhapuro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Murhapuro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kowalski was well out of range. Poor timing from Murhapuro. Pauke Murhapuro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kowalski throws a lazy uppercut
and Murhapuro counters with a leg kick. Kowalski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kowalski scores with a jab to the head.
Murhapuro ducks under a wild hook from Kowalski. Murhapuro steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kowalski. Murhapuro throws a poor cross that misses
and Kowalski counters with an outside leg kick.
Kowalski works Murhapuro's body with a nice hook. Kowalski throws a lazy uppercut
and Murhapuro counters with a left and a right that hurts Kowalski! He wobbles and falls to the floor - he's in big trouble! Murhapuro jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murhapuro wants to control the pace but Kowalski is squirming around nicely. Kowalski prevents Murhapuro from taking his back. Murhapuro goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Kowalski turns into him and now he's in Murhapuro's guard.
Kowalski avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Murhapuro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kowalski defends well. Kowalski stays in close to Murhapuro's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Murhapuro looking for a triangle here. Kowalski is fighting it but it looks tight! Murhapuro pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kowalski is tapping out - this one is all over!
