The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chartreuse wants to clinch up but Kabir keeps it at a distance.
Chartreuse misses with a straight left.

A decent looking cross lands there for Kabir.

It looks like Rodney Chartreuse has been cut.
Chartreuse looks to score with a jab to the body but Kabir is just out of range.

Kabir looks like he wants to counter punch here.

and Kabir counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kabir shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chartreuse but Chartreuse pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Chartreuse shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kabir is trying to defend but Chartreuse finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kabir has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Chartreuse. Oh but Kabir has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Chartreuse goes limp - he's gone! Kabir jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
