Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Javier Mondragon (ranked 4413 p4p, 4411 weight class) and Tommy Thompson (ranked 473 p4p, 465 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Thompson moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Thompson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thompson tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Mondragon is able to avoid easily.
Mondragon half committed to a counter leg kick.
Mondragon fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Thompson is out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mondragon moves out of range of the leg kick from Thompson.
Thompson lands a nice leg kick that just misses Mondragon's sensitive parts.
Thompson throws a nice inside leg kick.
Thompson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mondragon checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Thompson checks a low kick from Mondragon.
Thompson only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Mondragon tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Thompson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mondragon has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Mondragon chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thompson can pounce on him.

And that's the end of the fight!
Tommy Thompson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Thompson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
