Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Delarosa (ranked 5358 p4p, 5001 weight class) and Alex Rafael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rafael has chosen despasito as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Alex Rafael is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Damian Delarosa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex Rafael! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Delarosa throws a poor cross that misses
and Rafael holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Rafael wants the takedown. Delarosa is fighting it off but Rafael persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Delarosa's guard against the cage. Delarosa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Rafael sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rafael stops Delarosa from standing up. Rafael drops back looking for a leg! Delarosa is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Delarosa manages to kick Rafael off! Rafael jumps back into Delarosa's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rafael not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rafael stands up from guard. Let's bang! Rafael is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Rafael slaps away a takedown attempt from Delarosa, before circling back to the center of the mat. Delarosa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rafael counters with a head kick. Delarosa closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Rafael manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Delarosa keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Rafael ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Rafael no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rafael controlling Delarosa's posture. Rafael wants to stand and escape but Delarosa is having none of it. Delarosa looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Delarosa wanted to stand there but Rafael had control of the position. Rafael utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Rafael is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Rafael gets control of Delarosa's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rafael will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Delarosa landing with the ground and pound. Rafael avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Delarosa postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Delarosa throws a big elbow that misses. Delarosa throws a strike but Rafael rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Delarosa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Delarosa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rafael on the ground. Rafael throws a big elbow that misses. Rafael wants to pass the guard but Delarosa is keeping the position. Delarosa on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Delarosa tries to get out of the position. Delarosa wants to stand and escape but Rafael is having none of it. Delarosa trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Rafael decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Delarosa, up you get!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rafael shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Delarosa's guard. Delarosa looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rafael is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Rafael gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Delarosa misses with a jab to the body
and Rafael counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Delarosa gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rafael to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rafael is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rafael scoring with punches to the head and body. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Rafael dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Delarosa is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rafael. Rafael shoots in for a takedown but Delarosa shows good takedown defense. Rafael lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Delarosa misses with an uppercut
and Rafael counters with a left and a right that stings Delarosa. Delarosa lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Delarosa fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Rafael on the side of the head.
Rafael is rocked! Alex Rafael is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Delarosa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Rafael is still on wobbly legs! Can Delarosa finish him? Delarosa misses with a combination
and Rafael counters with a nice body kick.
Delarosa cracks Rafael on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rafael falls backwards against the cage. Delarosa follows up with more strikes that drop Rafael to his knees. Delarosa keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Rafael! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Damian Delarosa! Alex Rafael spoke after the fight, saying 'di lo mejo de mi pero hoy no se pudo'.
