Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Raw Smoker (ranked 3438 p4p, 3709 weight class) and Trey Manning (ranked 418 p4p, 460 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Smoker.
Manning will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Manning gets caught flat footed, as Smoker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Smoker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Manning keeping full guard, as Smoker tries to pass.

Smoker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Manning keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Manning really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smoker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smoker content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Smoker seems to be working for a kimura but Manning defends the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smoker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Manning is just riding it out for now. Smoker eventually gives up the hold.
