Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roger Sander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Markus Uno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roger Sander could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Markus Uno's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roger Sander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Markus Uno!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sander shoots in and drives through. Uno sprawls well.
Nice sprawl there from Uno as Sander shoots in.
Uno shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Sander counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Uno wants to get back to his feet.
Uno tries to roll over but Sander keeps him under control.
Sander stops Uno from getting back to his feet.
Sander performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Uno has a hand on Sander's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Sander takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Sander is breathing heavily.
Uno can't escape the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Uno is trying to stand up.
Uno is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Sander connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sander won't let Uno get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Uno can't escape the position.
Uno has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sander landing with strikes.
Uno is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sander controlling from the back.
Uno has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Uno is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Sander.
Sander is not going to allow Uno to sit and survive in this position.
Sander slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Uno is really stuck here.
Uno prevents Sander from getting a body triangle.
Uno tries to escape but Sander has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Uno is taking damage to the body and head.

Uno can't escape the position.

Uno defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Sander's arms.
Uno is keeping busy.
Sander doesn't have the hooks in and Uno manages to turn into his guard.
Uno stopping the sweep attempt from Sander.
Sander is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Uno with a flurry of punches that miss.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Uno trying to control the position from guard on top but Sander is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Uno wants to stand but Sander is controlling his posture from full guard.
Sander might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sander is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Sander tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Uno just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Roger Sander. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Uno breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jab by Uno.

Sander shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Uno looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sander is one step ahead there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Roger Sander dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Uno has his takedown stuffed

and Sander counters with a shoot takedown. Uno fights it but they end up in guard.
Sander trying to control the position from guard on top but Uno is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Uno tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Uno is looking to stand up but Sander isn't so interested in that idea.
Uno is striking but Sander is not phased and passes to half guard.

Sander has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Uno defend it? Sander steps over the head and cranks it - Uno is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Sander!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Roger Sander!
