Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Mardov gets tackled into the ropes by Dinu. Dinu maintains the clinch. Dinu jumps into guard, dragging Mardov to the mat.

Mardov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Mardov is looking to control Dinu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mardov avoid being mounted? Dinu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mardov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That's twelve minutes gone in the round. Mardov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dinu wants to take his opponent's back but Mardov doesn't allow it. Dinu with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dinu has hold of Mardov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mardov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Dinu is looking for a kimura but Mardov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Dinu to get the leverage. Mardov is trying to get back to full guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Dinu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mardov defends it well. Dinu trying to control from half guard but Mardov is working away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Dinu is working for an americana but Mardov has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Dinu was thinking about the submission.
