Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Christopher Nibbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cyrano Capistrant!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nibbs takes a swing at Capistrant's ribcage but misses.
Capistrant appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Nibbs scores with a takedown into Capistrant's guard.
Capistrant is looking to sweep but instead, Nibbs has passed into half guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Nibbs's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Capistrant has a hand on Nibbs's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Nibbs takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Nibbs is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Capistrant to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Capistrant shrugs it off.

Nibbs has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Capistrant felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Nibbs looking to secure an arm triangle but Capistrant defends it well.

Capistrant tries to improve his position but instead Nibbs has taken his back!
Capistrant is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Nibbs.

Capistrant won't enjoy being in this position. Nibbs looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Capistrant is tapping - it's over boys! Nibbs picks up the submission victory!
