The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortega wants to land a leg kick but Cassino is out of range.
It looked like Cassino wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Ortega misses with a body kick.
Cassino uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ortega.
Cassino works Ortega's body with a nice hook.

Ortega shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Ortega was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Ortega wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Cassino, who protects the arm well.
Ortega in side control, throwing shots but Cassino defends.
Cassino is not content to let Ortega control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cassino wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Ortega has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Cassino's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH!
