PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cyber Bully (ranked 744 p4p, 934 weight class) and Beta Knox (ranked 90 p4p, 108 weight class). Knox has chosen Anthrax | Fight Em Till You Can't as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 24 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Beta Knox!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bully fakes the leg kick and cracks Knox in the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Bully. Knox does a little dance to reset his feet.
Knox tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Bully lands a jab to the nose.
Bully tried to score with a low kick but Knox checks it.
Bully misses with a hook to the body

Cyber Bully seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Knox slips a nice elbow through Bully's hands, connecting with Bully's forehead.
Bully is trying to maintain the position but Knox is very close to passing his half guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Bully's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bully manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Knox manages to get himself to full guard.

Bully stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knox swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Bully winds up and cracks Knox with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Bully is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Knox!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bully seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Knox does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bully is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Knox defends it well.

Bully is looking for a triangle here but Knox uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Knox accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bully throws his legs up looking for a submission but Knox uses it to pass to side control.
Bully takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Knox throws a strike aimed at the side of Bully's head but Bully avoids it well.
Bully is trying to get back to half guard.

Beta Knox showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Knox must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

I've got Knox winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
