Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christ Shenton (ranked 4821 p4p, 3102 weight class) and Jim Cools (ranked 0 p4p, 342 weight class). Cools comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Big Yellow Taxi kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Christ Shenton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Cools!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shenton checks a low kick from Cools.
Shenton throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cools's waist but Cools gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shenton off to one side.
Cools throws a leg kick
and Shenton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cools connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Shenton steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cools.
Shenton looks for a takedown but Cools sprawls well.
Cools cracks Shenton with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Shenton looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Cools finish him?
Shenton is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shenton moves out of range as Cools throws a body kick.
Oh Shenton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cools lands a brutal uppercut that launches Shenton off his feet! Shenton tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jim Cools!
During a confident post fight interview, Jim Cools thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
