Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace throws a right hand that misses
and Chambers counters with a stiff right hand.

It looks like Bubba Wallace has been cut.
Wallace tries to clinch up.
It seemed like Chambers was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Wallace throws the left hand but Chambers avoids the punch easily.

and Chambers cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Wallace moves into the clinch.
Wallace misses with some punches.
Chambers lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wallace backwards.
Wallace misses with some punches.
Wallace swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Chambers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chambers defending well as Wallace loads up on a big left hand.

and Chambers counters with a lovely shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wallace throws a body shot but no joy.
Wallace tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chambers swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Wallace throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chambers.
Wallace throws an overhand right that lands on Chambers's shoulder, as Chambers tries to avoid the shot.

We've been told by Wallace's head coaches at Brooklyn Mixed Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

and Chambers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Wallace ducks right into an uppercut from Chambers.

Bubba Wallace's cut is getting worse.

and Chambers counters with a nice right hand that sends Wallace toppling to the canvas! Wallace scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Chambers finish him?!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Chambers counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!
