The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
themuse misses with a straight left.
Augusto shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has themuse pinned against the cage. themuse gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A jab from themuse does it's job there.
Augusto shoots in for a takedown but themuse shows good takedown defense.
themuse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Augusto counters by moving into the clinch.
themuse prevents the takedown attempt.
jake themuse has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fernando Augusto.
Augusto is trying to work for a single leg takedown but themuse pulls him back up using the underhooks.
themuse jumps guard and drags Augusto to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

themuse is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
themuse working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Augusto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but themuse is tightening it up a little... Augusto has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Augusto reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Augusto taps out! nice BJJ there by themuse!
