Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shinnosuke Nakagawa (ranked 3872 p4p, 2746 weight class) and Youssef Alaoui (ranked 469 p4p, 349 weight class). Nakagawa comes to the cage accompanied by Koto - CloZee. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alaoui misses with an uppercut.

Alaoui throws an overhand right that lands on Nakagawa's shoulder, as Nakagawa tries to avoid the shot.

Alaoui throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nakagawa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Alaoui sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nakagawa somewhat.

Nakagawa looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Alaoui with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

It seemed like Alaoui was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Alaoui got a little sloppy there for a moment and Nakagawa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alaoui has managed to get both his arms back between Nakagawa's legs - danger averted.
