Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lotay Wangchuck (ranked 2961 p4p, 2291 weight class) and Thom Tharrier (ranked 319 p4p, 245 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Lotay Wangchuck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thom Tharrier! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wangchuck fails with a takedown attempt from distance. A little jabbing left from Tharrier on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tharrier ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wangchuck tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tharrier swivels and escapes. Tharrier misses with a looping left. Wangchuck shoots in for a double leg but Tharrier sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lotay Wangchuck. That's going to take a lot out of him. A solid leg kick lands there for Tharrier.
Tharrier looks to throw the jab but Wangchuck is out of range. Tharrier jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tharrier swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Wangchuck.
It looks like Lotay Wangchuck has been cut. Wangchuck has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tharrier. A slapping leg kick lands for Tharrier.
Wangchuck has been working on his balance at Lads Lash Banter Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Tharrier. Wangchuck walks into a left hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tharrier leaves Wangchuck with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. A nice inside leg kick there by Tharrier. That's going to slow Wangchuck down. Wangchuck shoots in but no luck this time. Tharrier swings away with a body shot that misses
and Wangchuck counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tharrier wants to get back to his feet but Wangchuck passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tharrier is trying to stand back up but Wangchuck is controlling him
Wangchuck looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tharrier wants to get back to his feet.
Wangchuck wants to take a breather but Tharrier is having none of it. Tharrier wants to get back to his feet. Wangchuck is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Wangchuck prevents Tharrier from standing back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tharrier is staying active underneath Wangchuck, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Tharrier is looking to escape. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tharrier can do anything to dispel that myth. Wangchuck sitting and controlling from the half guard. Wangchuck trying to control the action but Tharrier is working from the bottom. Wangchuck prevents Tharrier from standing back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tharrier has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wangchuck is on him like a limpet, forcing Tharrier back against the cage. Tharrier scores with a nice hook to the head. Tharrier gets underhooks to prevent Wangchuck's takedown attempt.
Tharrier lands a hook to the side of the head. Tharrier scores with a hook to the body. Tharrier working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tharrier lands with a short shot to the head. Tharrier lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Tharrier breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wangchuck dives in for a single leg takedown but Tharrier sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tharrier pressing his opponent against the cage. Tharrier stalling against the cage.
Tharrier lands with a short head shot on the inside. Tharrier lands a body punch in the clinch. Tharrier softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Wangchuck jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tharrier walks away with a smile on his face. Wangchuck gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Tharrier swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A swing and a miss from Tharrier. Tharrier drops Wangchuck with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wangchuck looks back up at him and smiles so Tharrier waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Wangchuck is rocked! Thom Tharrier is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Wangchuck tries to get into range but Tharrier steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Wangchuck! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Tharrier scores the big KO victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thom Tharrier!
