Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Clint St Claire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ozpin Oz! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice straight punches there by St Claire. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of St Claire.
It looks like Ozpin Oz has been cut. St Claire missing with a left hand there. Oz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. St Claire feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Ozs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! St Claire swings and misses with a shot to the body and Oz counters with a single leg into guard. St Claire didn't expect that. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. St Claire is pulling down on Oz's head. It's preventing any offense from Oz, at least for the moment. Oz's corner is telling him to maintain position. St Claire keeping moving, preventing Oz from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Oz passes St Claire's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Oz in particular looking to stall. Oz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Oz works his way into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oz postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
St Claire seems a little lost for a moment, as Oz dominates the positioning. St Claire on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if St Claire tries to get out of the position. Oz has hold of St Claire's arm. He's looking for a kimura. St Claire seems comfortable defending it but Oz has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! St Claire is real pain and he's forced to tap out! St Claire is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Oz couldn't care less - he's delighted!
