Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gorgee Umbrella (ranked 3217 p4p, 4819 weight class) and Mark Shent (ranked 302 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gorgee Umbrella! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Shent! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shent circles away from the clinch attempt so Shent counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Shent stays in close to Umbrella's body and controls the position. Shent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Umbrella swivels though and keeps the full guard. Shent looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Umbrella keeping full guard, as Shent tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Shent's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Shent tries to free his leg and advance position but Umbrella is retaining full guard. Umbrella working a defensive guard here.
Shent content to stall in guard here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Umbrella tries to clinch there but Shent circles away.
Umbrella moves in looking to clinch but Shent pushes him off. Shent gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Umbrella looks to throw an elbow but misses. Umbrella tries to stall but Shent uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Shent breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Umbrella wants to clinch but Shent slips to the side and Shent counters with a nice double leg into guard. Umbrella trying to control the position.
Umbrella will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Shent sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Umbrella is trying to keep Shent in close.
Shent passes Umbrella's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Shent is nestled in close to Umbrella, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Umbrella avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Shent. Shent is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Umbrella manages to get to full guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shent tries to free his leg and advance position but Umbrella is retaining full guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Shent dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Shent throws out a leg kick but Umbrella moves out of range and Shent only half commits. Shent just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromUmbrella. Umbrella tries to close the distance and clinch but Shent swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Umbrella tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Shent paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shent clinches up against the cage. Umbrella pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Shent jumps guard and drags Umbrella to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Shent is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shent lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Umbrella is trying to control the position but Shent postures up. Shent tries to stand but Umbrella is controlling from the bottom. Shent is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Shent tries a head kick but it misses.
Gorgee Umbrella is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Shent instigates a clinch. Umbrella throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Umbrella is looking to control Shent's arms but Shent gets an underhook and turns him. Now Umbrella has his back to the cage. Umbrella creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Shent's defenses. With the two fighters working up against the cage, Umbrella just misses with a elbow thrown towards Shent's brow. Umbrella creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Umbrella looks to throw an elbow but misses. Shent takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Mark Shent has been cut. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Shent as Umbrella tries to tie him up. Shent takes an elbow to the forehead. Shent avoids the elbow strike from Umbrella, against the cage.

Mark Shent showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mark Shent's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Shent is on top in guard.
Shent slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Shent looking to pass the guard. Nice move by Umbrella! Umbrella stopping the sweep attempt from Shent.

Umbrella being controlled here momentarily. Shent is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Shent not doing much here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shent looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Umbrella with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Shent sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Umbrella defending well though. Shent content to control rather than advance. Shent is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Well, if Shent is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Umbrella is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Shent controlling the action here. Umbrella has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Shent is working away from the top position though. Shent slows the pace down in half guard.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Umbrella is looking to clinch. Shent gets a takedown into half guard. Shent has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Shent tries to pass the half guard into mount. Umbrella knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The fighters are battling for position here. Umbrella manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shent preventing the sweep. Gorgee Umbrella has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mark Shent is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Shent not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
And that's the end of the fight! Mark Shent comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Shent winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
