Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gorgee Umbrella (ranked 3217 p4p, 4819 weight class) and Mark Shent (ranked 302 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shent circles away from the clinch attempt
so Shent counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shent stays in close to Umbrella's body and controls the position.
Shent stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Umbrella swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shent tries to free his leg and advance position but Umbrella is retaining full guard.

Shent looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Umbrella with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
