The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baked looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hernandez!
Hernandez is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Baked prevents Hernandez from escaping the position.

Baked lands some shots froms side control.
Hernandez is looking to reverse the position.
Baked lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hernandez down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Baked decides to stand back up. Baked steps back and let's Hernandez get back to his feet.
Baked takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

and Baked counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hernandez won't be happy with that.

You can see the frustration on Hernandez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Hernandez has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee asks Baked politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Baked prefers to stall for the moment though.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Baked really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hernandez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hernandez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Baked doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Baked manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Baked seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Baked gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hernandez throws a nice looking combination but Baked bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hernandez tries to bum rush Baked with a series of wild strikes but Baked uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Nice uppercut lands for Hernandez. That snapped Baked's head back.

Baked drives through with a takedown into Hernandez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
