Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sumi Gaeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daemon Torton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaeshi comes into the arena with Welcome to the Jungle blaring out of the sound system. Sumi Gaeshi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Daemon Torton's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaeshi tries to land a front kick but Torton steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Torton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gaeshi as he avoids it easily.
Gaeshi looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Torton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Torton wants to pass the guard but Gaeshi is keeping the position.

Gaeshi bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Torton's guard.

Torton thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Gaeshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torton swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Sumi Gaeshi will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

A head kick misses from Gaeshi.
Gaeshi stuffs the takedown.
Gaeshi works over Torton's head and body with a nice combination.

Gaeshi fakes the leg kick and cracks Torton in the body.
Gaeshi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Torton's head.
Gaeshi tries to bum rush Torton with a series of wild strikes but Torton uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Gaeshi drives through and clinches with Torton against the cage.

Torton shoots in looking for a takedown. Gaeshi tries to sprawl out of it but Torton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gaeshi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Gaeshi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Gaeshi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Torton circles away quickly and effectively.

Gaeshi pushes Torton away with a front kick.
Gaeshi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
Sumi Gaeshi showed his dominance in that final round.
