Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans Hermann Hoppe (ranked 178 p4p, 287 weight class) and Lamont Banner (ranked 25 p4p, 38 weight class). Hoppe comes to the cage accompanied by Wind of Change. Hans Hermann Hoppe could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Lamont Banner 's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 36 - 18 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Hermann Hoppe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 28 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lamont Banner ! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoppe works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Hoppe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Banner . The fighters circling - Hoppe throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hoppe misses with a jab to the body
and Banner counters with a three punch combo that has Hoppe backing up. Hoppe nods at Banner to acknowledge the strikes. Hoppe walks into a stiff left hand from Banner . A shot to the liver by Banner . Beautiful body shot. Banner misses with a straight left. Banner swings away with a leg kick that misses. Hoppe lands with a straight right. Banner didn't see that one coming. Banner throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Banner throws a jab but it's blocked by Hoppe. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoppe moves into range and connects with a jab. Banner has managed to clinch.

Banner is defending well against a takedown attempt. Banner escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Banner throws a push kick but Hoppe slaps the foot to one side. Banner gets a clinch. Banner manages to pull guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banner is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Banner keeping moving, preventing Hoppe from controlling successfully. Banner looking for a sweep. Not yet Banner , not yet. Hoppe working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Banner avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hoppe trying to control the position from guard on top but Banner is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Banner looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Banner regains half guard. Banner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Banner . Banner has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Hoppe looking to pass the guard. Banner keeping moving, preventing Hoppe from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Banner is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hoppe defends well. Hoppe postures up.

Banner is staying active underneath Hoppe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoppe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hoppe tries to pass the half guard into mount. Banner knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Banner looking for submissions off his back. Banner wants to control but Hoppe is keeping busy and won't allow it. Hoppe passes the guard and advances to mount! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lamont Banner will probably get the nod. That's time! Hoppe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Banner misses with a looping left. Banner defending well as Hoppe loads up on a big left hand. Banner looks to land a combination but Hoppe avoids it well. Banner moves out of range of the strikes. Banner moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Banner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hoppe is looking to counter punch. Banner rushes Hoppe and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Hoppe lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Banner or not. Hoppe lands a right hand that snaps the head of Banner backwards. Hoppe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Banner is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hoppe has a couple of punches blocked by Banner .
Banner gets control of Hoppe's arms and successfully pulls guard. Banner will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Banner looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hoppe passes into side control.
Hoppe tries to advance to mount but can't. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! You can see the frustration on Banner 's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoppe connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Banner some visible discomfort.

Hoppe cracks Banner with a big right hand but Banner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Banner prevents Hoppe from moving into mount. Banner tries to buck Hoppe off but Hoppe is having none of it. Banner manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hoppe's best efforts. Hoppe trying to mount his opponent but Banner defends it. Hoppe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoppe connects with a nice short shot to Banner 's temple. Banner trying to control from the bottom.
Hoppe is nestled in close to Banner , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hoppe throws a jab but it's blocked by Banner . Banner tries to bum rush Hoppe with a series of wild strikes but Hoppe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Hoppe drops down looking for a counter takedown but Banner sprawls and moves away. Hoppe fails with a takedown attempt. Hoppe fails to land the takedown. Jab by Banner . Hoppe misses with a body punch

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Banner scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hoppe doesn't seem bothered though. Hoppe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hoppe throws the left hand but Banner avoids the punch easily.

Hoppe feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Banner s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Banner lands a slapping body shot.

Hoppe tries for a takedown but Banner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hans Hermann Hoppe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hoppe throws a looping overhand right but Banner ducks down to avoid it. Banner was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind. Banner displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hoppe throws out the jab. Hoppe misses with a body shot.
Hoppe misses the shot to the body. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Banner ! But no joy. Hoppe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Banner manages to avoid it. Hoppe lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Hoppe lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Banner . Hoppe is trying to trip Banner . He has hold of a leg but Banner is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Hoppe persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Hoppe lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hoppe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hans Hermann Hoppe. I think Hoppe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
