Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azor Ahai (ranked 791 p4p, 1009 weight class) and Thomas Bolleke (ranked 112 p4p, 138 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Azor Ahai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 13 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Bolleke!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolleke misses with a hook.
Ahai scores with a jab to the head.
A swing and a miss from Ahai.
And Bolleke tries to counter it with a takedown but Ahai pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bolleke throws a lazy uppercut
and Ahai counters with a good, hard body kick but Bolleke shrugs it off.
Ahai throws a body kick that misses.
Ahai throws a right and a left that Bolleke avoids nicely.
Bolleke throws a body punch but Ahai moves out of range.
Ahai lands with a slapping head kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahai throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Bolleke misses with a body shot.
Bolleke moves out of range as Ahai strikes.
Bolleke cracks Ahai with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Bolleke fails with a takedown attempt.
Ahai lands a head shot.
Ahai rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bolleke counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ahai ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bolleke defending well as Ahai loads up on a big left hand.
Bolleke moves forwards but Ahai connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Bolleke misses with a looping right.

Ahai connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Bolleke fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ahai to the ground. Bolleke is now in Ahai's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ahai tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bolleke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bolleke trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Bolleke won't allow Ahai to get back to his feet.
Ahai pulls Bolleke in to control the position.

Ahai is pulling down on Bolleke's head. It's preventing any offense from Bolleke, at least for the moment.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
Bolleke wants to control from the top but Ahai keeps moving.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Bolleke throws a big shot that misses.
Azor Ahai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ahai swings widly with a right hand
enabling Bolleke to counter with a crisp jab.
Bolleke lands a jab to the nose.
Ahai throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Bolleke moves out of range of the body kick.
Bolleke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ahai moves away.
A quick step to the side and Ahai tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bolleke slips a jab and a cross from Ahai.

A telegraphed right hand from Bolleke misses the target.
Ahai misses with a few strikes there.
Ahai misses with a body kick.
Ahai fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ahai throws a nice looking combination but Bolleke bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ahai goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Bolleke looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Bolleke misses with an uppercut. Ahai saw that one coming.
Ahai lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bolleke throws a right hand that misses
and Ahai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Ahai takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Ahai lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Azor Ahai dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ahai takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Nice straight punches there by Ahai. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ahai.
Ahai gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bolleke.
Ahai jabs Bolleke right on the nose. Bolleke blinks but takes it well.
Bolleke looks to score with a jab to the body but Ahai is just out of range.
Ahai lands with an uppercut that bounces Bolleke off the cage and back into range.

Bolleke throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Ahai ducks under a wild hook from Bolleke.
Bolleke takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ahai connects with a solid leg kick.
Ahai moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Bolleke throws a nice looking combination but Ahai bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A head kick misses from Ahai.

Azor Ahai is winning the standup battle so far.
Ahai thuds his shin into the meat of Bolleke's side.

Bolleke closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Ahai throws a push kick but Bolleke slaps the foot to one side.
Bolleke throws out a counter right but Ahai avoids it with no problem.
A head kick misses from Ahai.
A countering left hand to the body from Bolleke misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ahai lands a nice hook to Bolleke's body. Bolleke takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bolleke loads up on a big right hand but Ahai slips the punch.
Ahai is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bolleke can do to turn this around?

Bolleke falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Ahai counter with a right hand.
Ahai scores with a push kick.
Bolleke is breathing heavily.

Ahai cracks Bolleke with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ahai has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bolleke to stand back up!

Ahai throws a quick inside leg kick.
Bolleke throws an overhand right that lands on Ahai's shoulder, as Ahai tries to avoid the shot.
Ahai scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Bolleke is still on wobbly legs! Can Ahai finish him?
Ahai connects with a body shot.
Bolleke takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Bolleke seems to have recovered his senses.
It looks like Ahai has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Crack! A monster head kick from Ahai and Bolleke falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Ahai!
