The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson misses with a body kick.
Cortez misses with a hook. Swanson ducked under it nicely.
A nice combination there by Swanson.

It looks like Felipe Cortez has been cut.
Cortez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Swanson feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Cortez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Swanson looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Cortez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Swanson manages to avoid it.
Cortez throws a poor cross that misses
and Swanson makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Cortez connects with a nice looking jab.
Cortez throws a body punch but Swanson moves out of range.
Swanson moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Swanson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Cortez takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Cortez missing with a left hand there. Swanson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A looping hook to the body misses from Cortez. Swanson does a little dance to reset his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cortez takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Cortez looks winded!
Swanson lands a body shot.
Crunch! Swanson slams his shin into Cortez's torso.
Swanson pushes Cortez away with a front kick.
Swanson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Cortez is rocked!
Swanson throws a leg kick which misses Cortez's front leg but catches the back leg as Cortez tries to avoid it.
Cortez is still on wobbly legs! Can Swanson finish him?
A head kick by Swanson - that's a beauty! Cortez is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Swanson can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
