Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marckus Reece (ranked 4110 p4p, 23360 weight class) and Isadore James (ranked 497 p4p, 705 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying James's choice of entrance music: Gangsta's Paradise - Coolio. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marckus Reece! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Isadore James! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! James looks for a takedown but Reece sprawls well. James scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. James dodges the punch combination from Reece.
Reece throws a left and a right that both miss
and James counters by clinching up. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as James takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Reece is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reece doesn't succeed with the takedown and James counters with a nice uppercut. James dives in for a single leg takedown but Reece sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. James stuffs the takedown attempt from Reece. Reece gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marckus Reece. That's going to take a lot out of him. James swats away the attempt to clinch by Reece. James clinches up with Reece and pushes him back against the cage. James is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Reece looking to slow down the pace here. James just leaning against Reece, taking a breather. James has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Reece regains guard immediately. James pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Reece is keeping the position for now.

James is looking to pass into half guard but Reece pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Reece is in guard. Reece sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. James looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Reece puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. James wants to get back to his feet.

Reece wants to control but James is keeping him busy. Reece missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Reece trying to control the action but James is working from the bottom. James wants to control but Reece is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. James clinches up against the cage. James is trying to pull guard but Reece turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. James breaks from the clinch.
Reece tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. James steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Reece. James moves into the clinch. Reece is trying to drag James to the mat but James just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Nicely done. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Isadore James dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Reece stuffs the takedown attempt from James. James gets slowly back to his feet. Reece darts in trying to clinch and James counters with a nice right hand that sends Reece toppling to the canvas! Reece scrambles and gets back to his feet - can James finish him?! Reece gets tackled into the cage by James. James maintains the clinch. James lands a nice elbow.
Reece is rocked!
It looks like Marckus Reece has been cut. James breaks from the clinch.
Oh Reece is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! James has been the more effective fighter overall so far. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reece is defended easily by James. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. James clinches up with Reece and pushes him back against the cage. James pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Reece seems to have got his legs back now. Reece tries to clinch but James moves away and James counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Reece to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by James!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Isadore James!
