The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billabong throws a sloppy head kick

and Petrov decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Billabong's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Petrov wanted to stand there but Billabong had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petrov passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Petrov postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Billabong prevents Petrov from moving into mount.

Petrov wants to control but Billabong is keeping him busy.
Petrov works to advance to full mount. Billabong defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Billabong is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Petrov unloads with some shots from mount but Billabong bucks and avoids them well.
Petrov throwing strikes here but Billabong is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Petrov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Billabong is wriggling around trying to escape.
Petrov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Billabong sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Johnny Billabong has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Pyotr Petrov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Petrov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
