Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freitas Wire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Robbins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freitas Wire! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Robbins! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wire bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wire tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wire has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wire is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robbins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wire working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wire tries for a kimura but Robbins is defending well. This has been an exciting period of action! Robbins tries to bench press Wire off him but Wire keeps the position. Wire is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robbins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Wire is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Robbins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Robbins tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robbins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Wire tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wire has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wire will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wire is breathing heavily. Wire is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Robbins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wire is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Robbins has escaped the position, nice work there. Wire prevents Robbins from escaping the position. Robbins wants to control but Wire postures up. Robbins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wire kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Robbins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wire. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. I wouldn't like to be where Robbins is right now. Robbins is trying to get back to his feet. Wire is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Robbins is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Robbins is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wire off and has taken his back! Robbins is looking to control Wire but Wire is wriggling around and keeping busy. Robbins throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Wire!
A lull in the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Robbins has the hooks in. Wire is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted. Robbins scores with punches to the body. A bit of a pause in the action here. Robbins controlling the positon. Robbins controlling well, preventing Wire from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robbins softening up his opponent with strikes here.
Robbins lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Robbins scores with punches and elbows. I really don't envy Wire right now.
Robbins gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes. Robbins keeps control of the position as Wire tries to break free.
Wire is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robbins throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Wire!
Robbins punishes Wire with strikes from the back mount. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Robbins is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Wire. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Robbins lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Wire hold on?!

Robbins punishes Wire with strikes from the back mount. Robbins working for a choke but Wire is defending well. Robbins keeps control of the position as Wire tries to break free.
Robbins is trying to stick to Wire's back but Wire is turning into Robbins. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Robbins's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wire. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wire has gone for a leg lock! Robbins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wire's guard. Robbins content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Freitas Wire dominated that round. That's time! Wire's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wire walks into a jab. Wire scores with a takedown into Robbins's guard. Robbins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wire is one step ahead there. Robbins has Wire pulled in close to control his posture. Wire drops back looking for a leg! Robbins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robbins manages to kick Wire off! Wire jumps back into Robbins's guard. Robbins looking to control.
Wire is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Robbins managing to control the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wire wants to pass the guard but Robbins is keeping the position. Wire thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Robbins working a defensive guard here.
Wire drops back looking for a leg! Robbins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Robbins manages to kick Wire off! Wire jumps back into Robbins's guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Robbins throws a head kick that misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Robbins fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wire sprawls well initially but Robbins persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Robbins stands up out of the half guard. Robbins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Robbins is looking to clinch. Wire misses with a takedown and Robbins counters by clinching up. Robbins is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. A left hand lands to the body for Robbins.
Wire goes for a takedown in the clinch but Robbins prevents it.
Robbins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Robbins tries to clinch there but Wire circles away.
Robbins turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wire tries for a takedown but Robbins circles away easily and Robbins holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freitas Wire. That's going to take a lot out of him. Robbins manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Wire drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wire jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Robbins is trying to control the position but Wire postures up. Robbins looking for a sweep. Not yet Robbins, not yet. Wire is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Robbins is looking to stand up but Wire isn't so interested in that idea.

Robbins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wire is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Robbins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wire's back instead. Wire breaks Robbins's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Wire passes Robbins's left leg - he's now in half guard. Wire is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Robbins is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
