The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escorre throws a series of punches but Kodjia moves out of range.

I was talking to Kodjia's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Kodjia darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Escorre's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Kodjia before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

In his post fight interview, Franck Kodjia started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
In defeat, Claudio Escorre stepped up to the mic, saying 'I swear I didn't expect you to have that beast inside you. I want my rematch against this brave fighter as soon as possible.
