Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adaru Kitano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitano has chosen Arch Enemy - We Will Rise as his entrance music. Frank Edgar could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Adaru Kitano's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Edgar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adaru Kitano! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edgar throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Edgar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Edgar wants to stand but Kitano has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Kitano with the active half guard here but Edgar passes nicely into side control. Edgar decides to take the fight back to the feet. No luck for Edgar with that takedown attempt. Edgar doesn't manage to clinch there - Kitano circles away.
Edgar scores with a one two! Kitano had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Kitano scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Edgar wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edgar prevents Kitano from moving into mount. Kitano working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Edgar sneaks out the side door and pushes Kitano away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Kitano lands a jab to the nose. Kitano shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Edgar connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Edgar avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kitano throws a combination that misses and Edgar moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edgar's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kitano misses with a two punch combination.

Edgar gets a clinch. Edgar is pressed up against the cage. Kitano has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Edgar down to the mat. Edgar avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kitano looks gassed! Edgar is looking to score with low kicks. Kitano steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Edgar. Kitano gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Edgar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Frank Edgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adaru Kitano. Edgar is looking to clinch. Kitano swats away the attempt to clinch by Edgar. Kitano looks to score with a jab to the body but Edgar is just out of range. Kitano scores with a jab. Edgar acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitano circles away from the clinch attempt.

Edgar digs a good body shot into Kitano's ribs. Edgar tries to land a front kick but Kitano steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Edgar closes the distance and clinches. Edgar is looking to control Kitano's arms but Kitano gets an underhook and turns him. Now Edgar has his back to the cage. Edgar wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kitano moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Kitano lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kitano throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
letting Edgar counter with a right hand. Kitano misses with a hook.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kitano tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Edgar was well out of range. Poor timing from Kitano. Edgar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The fighters circling - Kitano throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A jab from Kitano misses. Edgar darts in and clinches Kitano up against the cage. Kitano prevents Edgar from breaking the clinch. Edgar trying to control the position but instead, Kitano has worked for underhooks and has pushed Edgar into the cage. Edgar throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Edgar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kitano jabbing away but nothing is landing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kitano misses with a jab to the body
and Edgar counters with a two punch combo. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Edgar moves into range and clinches up with Kitano. Edgar wants to break free but Kitano has control.
Edgar pushes Kitano back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Frank Edgar will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kitano clobbers Edgar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Kitano moves into range and connects with a jab. Kitano swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Edgar.
Edgar is rocked! Edgar lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Edgar throws a front kick aimed at Kitano's knee but Kitano avoids it well. Edgar misses with a double jab
and Kitano counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Edgar down! Kitano is looking to finish but Edgar is intelligently defending himself. Oh Edgar is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kitano drops back looking for a leg! Edgar is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Edgar manages to kick Kitano off! Kitano jumps back into Edgar's guard. Kitano prevents Edgar from getting back to his feet. Edgar seems to have got his legs back now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kitano drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Edgar dives on top into guard. Edgar wants to stand and escape but instead Kitano has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kitano drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kitano jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kitano with a flurry of punches that miss. Kitano wants to stand but Edgar is controlling his posture from full guard. Edgar keeping moving, preventing Kitano from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Edgar wants to stand but Kitano is controlling the position. Edgar keeping moving, preventing Kitano from controlling successfully.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Edgar throws a head kick but Kitano moves out of range.
Kitano fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Frank Edgar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Edgar scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Kitano looks to throw the jab but Edgar is out of range. Kitano lands with a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kitano falls off balance throwing a combination
and Edgar counters with a nice uppercut. Kitano thows a left - swing and a miss! Edgar avoids the body shot from Kitano.
Kitano tries for a takedown but Edgar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Edgar throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Kitano shoots for a double leg takedown but Edgar sprawls well. He's pushed Kitano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Frank Edgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adaru Kitano. Edgar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kitano swats him away and circles back towards the center. Kitano swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Edgar counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Edgar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Edgar scores with a one two! Kitano had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Edgar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Edgar is looking to slow Kitano down with leg kicks. Kitano has his takedown stuffed and Edgar counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Edgar wants to clinch. Kitano avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kitano feints and as Edgar raises his hands in defense, Kitano changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kitano is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adaru Kitano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Edgar throws a series of punches but Kitano avoids them all with ease. Edgar fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Adaru Kitano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kitano lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Edgar backs up against the cage.

Edgar tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kitano counters with a nice uppercut. Edgar gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kitano grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Edgar takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Kitano cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Adaru Kitano!
