Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Travis Gracie (ranked 2916 p4p, 3950 weight class) and Sho Pereyra (ranked 281 p4p, 334 weight class). The key to victory for Travis Gracie has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sho Pereyra!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Patrick Alders and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pereyra closes the distance and clinches.
Pereyra lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

It looks like Travis Gracie has been cut.

It looks like Pereyra might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Gracie is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Pereyra scores with a couple of nice shots.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

It looked like Gracie was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Pereyra slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Sho Pereyra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Pereyra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Pereyra has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gracie's face.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That's time! Gracie's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Pereyra throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Gracie counters with a nice kick to the body.
Pereyra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gracie's waist but Gracie gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pereyra off to one side.

Gracie is trying to push Pereyra away but Pereyra has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
We've been informed that Pereyra has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Gracie has Pereyra pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pereyra manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pereyra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Well Pereyra has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
