Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Drew Barnes (ranked 3797 p4p, 2553 weight class) and Big Fist (ranked 391 p4p, 273 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Drew Barnes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Big Fist! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes wants to clinch. Barnes shoots in looking for a takedown but Fist manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Barnes's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Barnes closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Fist's guard. Fist scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Fist tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Barnes slips under a jab from Fist. Barnes forces Fist back against the cage and clinches. Barnes fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Fist swings wildly with an uppercut but Barnes uses good head movement to avoid it. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barnes lands a right hand that snaps the head of Fist backwards. Barnes tries a body shot but Fist blocks it.
Barnes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Fist's elbow. Fist misses with some punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnes changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fist fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nice shot lands for Fist.
It looks like Drew Barnes has been cut. Barnes wants to clinch up but Fist keeps it at a distance. Barnes takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Fist lands with a good body shot. Fist misses with an uppercut. Barnes saw that one coming. Barnes bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Fist's head. Fist gets tackled into the cage by Barnes. Barnes maintains the clinch. Barnes gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fist is controlling Barnes's trapped leg to prevent Barnes from advancing to side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Barnes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fist tries to roll over but Barnes keeps him under control. Fist looks like he's trying to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fist is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Barnes takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Fist wants to control but Barnes is keeping busy.
Barnes looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Fist with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Barnes throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Fist is looking to control Barnes's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fist avoid being mounted? Barnes winds up and cracks Fist with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Barnes scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Barnes is looking to stall here but Fist recovers full guard. Fist avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fist is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Barnes trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Fist keeping moving, preventing Barnes from controlling successfully. Barnes stands up over Fist, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Barnes preventing the sweep. Barnes missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Barnes lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Barnes postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Fist's head off the mat! Fist is out! He's out! Barnes jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Drew Barnes! Drew Barnes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
