Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Skyscraper Cornell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cornell connects with a crisp jab. Smith on the wrong end of a nice hook. Cornell lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Cornell has Smith up against the cage in a clinch.
Smith blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Cornell struggles to land a body shot inside as Smith controls his hands.
Cornell can't find room to land a body shot as Smith controls the action.
Cornell misses with a body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cornell throws a head punch that misses. Smith has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Cornell regains guard immediately. Smith content to stall in guard here. Smith stands and throws Cornell's legs to the side, diving into side control. Smith is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Cornell looks calm but he's in trouble here. Smith gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Cornell is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smith lets go of the hold and Cornell can pop his arm back in it's socket.

John Smith decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
