Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Michael MP (ranked 2779 p4p, 1522 weight class) and Jack Steel (ranked 303 p4p, 171 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 22 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael MP!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Steel!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MP shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
letting Steel counter with a right hand.
Nice sprawl there from Steel as MP shoots in.
MP fails to land the takedown.

A nice leg kick lands there from Steel.

and Steel counters with a nice uppercut.
MP changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Steel tries to avoid it but MP manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Steel to the ground. Steel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Steel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Steel connects with a good right hand that stumbles MP. MP circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Steel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from MP.
Horrible takedown attempt by MP or perhaps it was just good defense by Steel, which made it look bad.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steel stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Michael MP seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
MP is trying hard to land a takedown here. Steel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Steel throws a right hand that MP ducks under and follows up with a left that MP also avoids with ease.
Steel gets caught napping as MP dives in and scores a takedown. Steel manages to retain guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
MP shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense.
A little jabbing left from Steel on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
MP goes for a double leg but Steel avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Steel continues to drive forward.

Steel pushes MP back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
