Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Diaz (ranked 3110 p4p, 2220 weight class) and Bolo Yueng (ranked 403 p4p, 294 weight class). Yueng is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Stranglehold by Ted Nugent . Frank Diaz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bolo Yueng ! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz throws a hook to the side of Yueng 's head but Yueng sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Diaz pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Diaz throws an overhand right that lands on Yueng 's shoulder, as Yueng tries to avoid the shot. Yueng is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Diaz slips a jab from Yueng . Diaz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Yueng counters with a shoot takedown. Diaz fights it but they end up in guard. Diaz keeping full guard, as Yueng tries to pass. Diaz looking for a sweep. Not yet Diaz, not yet. Yueng passes Diaz's left leg - he's now in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yueng trying to mount his opponent but Diaz defends it. Diaz is trying to maintain the position but Yueng is very close to passing his half guard. Yueng seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Diaz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Diaz seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Yueng trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
