Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Day (ranked 6238 p4p, 24593 weight class) and Frankie O Reilly (ranked 621 p4p, 705 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Larry Day!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frankie O Reilly!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Kavanagh and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
O Reilly swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Day counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Day tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

O Reilly turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Day is trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Day closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Day digs a right hand into O Reilly's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on O Reilly's gas tank.

Day was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
O Reilly cracks Day with an open hand slap.
The fighters circle momentarily. O Reilly darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Day misses with a lunging right hand
letting O Reilly counter with a right hand.

Day keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from O Reilly.

and Day counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Day takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Day throws a lazy right hand but O Reilly sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
O Reilly ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Day on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
O Reilly looks to land a right hand but Day moved out of range.

and Day moves into the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
O Reilly lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Day backwards.

It looks like Larry Day has been cut.

O Reilly lands a takedown into guard.
Day keeping moving, preventing O Reilly from controlling successfully.
Day wants to sweep but no luck.

O Reilly avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Day is looking for a triangle but O Reilly pushes his legs off easily.
O Reilly slips nicely into half guard.
O Reilly seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Day is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but O Reilly pulls his head out easily.
O Reilly is trying to control the action in half guard but Day is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

O Reilly tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Day was well out of range. Poor timing from O Reilly.
A little feinted left hand from Day on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
O Reilly has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
O Reilly loads up on a big right hand but Day slips the punch.
O Reilly moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Day takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Day catches O Reilly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
O Reilly throws out a loose jab but Day uses good head movement to avoid it.

As O Reilly tries to get set, Day tries to push him back and clinch up but O Reilly manages to avoid the attempt.
O Reilly throws a poor cross that misses
and Day counters with a stiff right hand.
Day ducks under a wild hook from O Reilly.
A big right from Day misses.
Day tries to clinch up but O Reilly circles away and keeps his distance.
Day throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
O Reilly lands a jab to the nose.
Frankie O Reilly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Day gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Day is rocked!
O Reilly slips under a jab from Day.
Oh Day is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Day throws an ugly left hook that misses
and O Reilly rattles Day with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Day tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. O Reilly dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Day stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Frankie O Reilly!
