Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Timoty Meyer (ranked 4617 p4p, 4622 weight class) and Kai Huckenbeck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Timoty Meyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kai Huckenbeck!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Huckenbeck.

Meyer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Huckenbeck is trying to control the position but Meyer postures up.
Meyer throws a big elbow that misses.
Huckenbeck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meyer scoring with punches to the head and body.
Meyer wants to stand and escape but instead Huckenbeck has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Meyer pulls Huckenbeck in close to prevent any damage.

Huckenbeck trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Huckenbeck trying to control the position from guard on top but Meyer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Huckenbeck is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Meyer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Huckenbeck can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Meyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Huckenbeck shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Meyer pinned against the cage. Meyer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Meyer throws a head kick but Huckenbeck moves out of range.
Huckenbeck looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Meyer counters with a single leg into guard. Huckenbeck didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Huckenbeck is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Meyer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

You can see the frustration on Huckenbeck's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Meyer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Meyer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Huckenbeck throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meyer's waist but Meyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Huckenbeck off to one side.

Huckenbeck is looking to get back to is feet but Meyer passes into side control.

Meyer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Huckenbeck doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Meyer.
Meyer content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Meyer wants to pass the guard but Huckenbeck is defending well.
Huckenbeck tries to kick Meyer off but Meyer keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Meyer slows the pace down in half guard.
Huckenbeck trying to hold on to Meyer's head to control him but Meyer postures up.

Huckenbeck is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Meyer pulls his head out easily.

Huckenbeck preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Meyer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Huckenbeck can do to turn this around?

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Meyer lands a nice short elbow.

Huckenbeck tries to get to full guard but Meyer has control of the leg.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Meyer instigates a clinch.
Huckenbeck tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Meyer just stands there and leans against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Huckenbeck goes for a double leg but Meyer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Meyer continues to drive forward.

Meyer forces Huckenbeck back against the cage and clinches.

Meyer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Timoty Meyer is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Meyer gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Huckenbeck tries to break free but Meyer pushes him back against the cage.

Meyer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Huckenbeck tries to clinch up but Meyer circles away and keeps his distance.

Huckenbeck wants to get back to his feet but Meyer is dominant here and he's now got Huckenbeck's back!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Meyer is persistently looking for the submission but Huckenbeck is defending it well.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Meyer controlling the positon.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Huckenbeck is in bad spot here.
Meyer is punishing Huckenbeck with strikes - can he finish him?!
Huckenbeck tries to escape the position.
Meyer trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Huckenbeck doesn't escape.
You can see the frustration on Huckenbeck's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Huckenbeck drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Huckenbeck jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Huckenbeck takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Huckenbeck tries to stand but Meyer is controlling from the bottom.
Meyer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Meyer tries to get out of the position.
Meyer tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Meyer wants to stand but Huckenbeck is controlling the position.

Huckenbeck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Huckenbeck is fighting to break Meyer's control of his arms but Meyer is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Meyer misses with a body shot.
Huckenbeck tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Meyer defends well and Huckenbeck ends up having to push Meyer into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Timoty Meyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Huckenbeck.
