PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robin Godbeer (ranked 5807 p4p, 5341 weight class) and Patrick Weltstein (ranked 507 p4p, 484 weight class). Godbeer's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Electric . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Weltstein!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Weltstein has managed to clinch.
Weltstein is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Godbeer gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Godbeer wants the takedown. Weltstein is fighting it off but Godbeer persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Weltstein's guard against the cage.

Weltstein darts in looking for a takedown but Godbeer gets double underhooks and turns Weltstein into the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Robin Godbeer will probably get the nod.

Well Weltstein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
