Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tank Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steel's entrance music is Sugar Ray - Mean Machine. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Steel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tank Abbott! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Steel moves out of range as Abbott strikes. Abbott scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Abbott throws a series of punches but Steel avoids them all with ease. Steel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Abbott throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steel. Abbott smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Abbott misses with a jab, cross combination.
Abbott scores with the left hand. Steel knows he should have avoided that one. Abbott lands a nice shot to the body.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Abbott thows a body shot but no joy. Steel tries to clinch but Abbott is having none of it. Abbott tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Steel was well out of range. Poor timing from Abbott. Steel closes this distance looking for a takedown but Abbott circles away. Steel shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Abbott but Abbott pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Steel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Abbott tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Abbott scores with a crisp jab that stopped Steel in his tracks. Steel shoots in for a double leg but Abbott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Steel is breathing heavily. A nice combination there by Abbott.

Abbott lands a nice hook to Steel's body. Steel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Steel slips a jab and a cross from Abbott.
Tank Abbott is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Abbott connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Steel's hands. Steel showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Abbott.
Abbott throws a nice looking combination but Steel bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Steel dodges the punch combination from Abbott.
Abbott cracks Steel with a right hand to the side of the head.

and Steel counters with a flying knee. Nice. Abbott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steel manages to avoid it. Abbott tries to bum rush Steel with a series of wild strikes but Steel uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Abbott will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Abbott has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Steel fails with the takedown. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Steel. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Abbott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Steel is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Steel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Abbott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Abbott manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Abbott stops Steel from standing up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Steel is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Steel is looking for a triangle but Abbott pushes his legs off easily.

Abbott is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Steel rather than just go for the knockout. Steel shoots in for a double leg but Abbott sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mike Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Abbott scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Abbott lands a with a good body shot. Steel takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Abbott misses with the combination.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Abbott dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steel wants to get up but he can't break Abbott's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Steel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Abbott uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Steel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Steel won't allow Abbott to get back to his feet. Steel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Steel landing with the ground and pound. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Steel trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Steel is standing up over Abbott. Abbott looks to escape but Steel dives into side control.

Tank Abbott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Steel is landing with some decent strikes but Abbott is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel breaks from Abbott's wrist control and lands an elbow. Abbott wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Steel landing punches. Steel can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Abbott is looking to escape. Steel is really struggling to control Abbott but he's trying to hold on to the position. Abbott wants to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Steel is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Abbott has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Steel has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Abbott taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Steel doesn't care though - he's delighted!
