PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Semmy Cobb (ranked 2667 p4p, 3045 weight class) and Scott Minerva (ranked 106 p4p, 123 weight class). Cobb kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is You dropped the Bomb on me. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cobb looks to land a combination but Minerva avoids it well.

Minerva fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Cobb checks it well.
Minerva takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

and Cobb counters with a big 3 punch combo that drops Minerva on his ass! Minerva wobbles back to his feet half way through the count and though looking a bit dazed, the referee is going to allow the fight to continue!

Cobb scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Minerva to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Cobb away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Minerva got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

It looks like Scott Minerva has been cut.

Semmy Cobb decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
