Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Damiano Silva (ranked 4739 p4p, 4239 weight class) and Tim Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by Apaga mas não bate. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damiano Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Meyer! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a leg kick that is checked and Meyer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard. Meyer working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Meyer controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Meyer passes easily into side control. Nice work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Meyer happy to just control the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Meyer creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Silva is trying to get back to half guard. Silva prevents Meyer from moving into mount. Silva tries to improve position but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Meyer moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Let's hope that Meyer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Meyer tries to stand but Silva is controlling his head.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Meyer pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Silva throwing a counter right hand but Meyer manages to avoid it. Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Meyer swats him away and circles back towards the center. As Silva backs off Meyer throws a huge counter combo but Silva manages to avoid it all. Silva throws a low kick, looking for Meyer's leg but Meyer calmly moves out of range. Silva looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Meyer checks a low kick from Silva. Meyer scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Meyer is looking to pass into half guard but Silva pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Silva is in guard. Meyer wants to sweep but no luck. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Silva throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Meyer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Silva wants to control from the top but Meyer keeps moving. Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Meyer has wrist control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Meyer dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Meyer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Silva scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Meyer manages to mount him!

Meyer is in the full mount, landing strikes. Silva really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Silva can't escape the position.

Tim Meyer has got the better of the ground game so far. Meyer wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely. Meyer landing punches. Meyer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Meyer trying to control but Silva is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Meyer looking to control and managing it successfully. Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meyer controlling his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Meyer is in the full mount, landing strikes. Meyer lands a big shot there that rocks Silva but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Silva defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Meyer. Meyer in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Silva wants to control but Meyer is having none of it. Silva keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Meyer controlling the position easily from mount. Silva regains half guard. Meyer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Tim Meyer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Meyer looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Silva! Meyer decides to take the fight back to the feet. Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Meyer circles away.
Meyer wants to counter with a clinch but Silva pushes him away. Meyer shoots in and bounces Silva off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Meyer sitting in guard, not really doing much. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Silva wants to sweep here but Meyer controlling him for the moment.

Meyer must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Meyer lands a couple of digs. Meyer's corner is telling him to maintain position. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Meyer postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Silva looking to control but Meyer passes into half guard.
Meyer content to control rather than advance. Meyer is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Meyer eventually gives up the hold. Silva is trying to control but can't.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Meyer has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Silva gets caught flat footed, as Meyer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Meyer wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving. Silva is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Meyer defends well. Damiano Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Meyer defends it easily. Tim Meyer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Meyer showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Tim Meyer comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Meyer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
