Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Borat Sagidiev (ranked 4622 p4p, 2918 weight class) and Doc Hoya (ranked 0 p4p, 149 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borat Sagidiev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Doc Hoya! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoya shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sagidiev but Sagidiev pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sagidiev throws a quick counter kick to the body but Hoya avoids it. Sagidiev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hoya defends it nicely. Sagidiev looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hoya is controlling Sagidiev's posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sagidiev is looking to work some ground and pound but Hoya has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoya trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sagidiev looking to pass the guard. Sagidiev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Hoya is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Sagidiev throws a big elbow that misses. Hoya has a closed guard, preventing Sagidiev from standing up. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sagidiev has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sagidiev is sitting in close to Hoya's body. Hoya has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Sagidiev is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Sagidiev is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hoya.
