Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Art Mcgowan (ranked 3855 p4p, 3963 weight class) and Spaced Soza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Soza is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bitch,don't kill my vibe. Soza has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Art Mcgowan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spaced Soza! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soza throws a head kick but Mcgowan moves out of range.
A head kick by Mcgowan misses letting Soza counter with a right hand. Soza looks winded! Mcgowan gets in close and instigates a clinch. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Soza has eaten all the pies! Mcgowan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mcgowan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Soza sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Soza is looking for the big counter here. Mcgowan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Mcgowan controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Mcgowan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Mcgowan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Soza will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Soza tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgowan sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Soza avoids a series of strikes thrown by Mcgowan.
Mcgowan controlling his opponent. Mcgowan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mcgowan thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Soza wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Mcgowan.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Mcgowan controlling from mount. Mcgowan looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Mcgowan controlling from the full mount. Mcgowan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Soza really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Soza blocking the ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Art Mcgowan dominated that round. That's time! Mcgowan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mcgowan clinches up against the cage. Soza looking for a takedown. Mcgowan gets control of Soza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcgowan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Mcgowan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Soza is fighting to break Mcgowan's control of his arms but Mcgowan is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Mcgowan looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcgowan, not yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgowan is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Soza is breathing heavily. Soza trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mcgowan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Soza can do to turn this around? Mcgowan looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcgowan, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcgowan pulls Soza in close to his closed guard and prevents Soza from doing any damage or advancing position. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Art Mcgowan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Art Mcgowan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mcgowan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mcgowan lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcgowan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nice takedown defense from Soza. No joy for Mcgowan on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Art Mcgowan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcgowan misses with a takedown attempt - Soza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Soza keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Soza with a lazy takedown attempt and Mcgowan makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Mcgowan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Soza avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mcgowan. Soza dives in and grabs Mcgowan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mcgowan pushes down on Soza's head and hops out. Mcgowan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Soza as he avoids it easily. Soza is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Soza is looking to clinch but Mcgowan is avoiding it.
Mcgowan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcgowan lands in his opponent's guard. Soza wants to get back to his feet but Mcgowan passes into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Soza wants to control but Mcgowan is keeping busy and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcgowan missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Mcgowan not landing any meaningful shots this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Mcgowan trying to control the pace. Soza has a hand on Mcgowan's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Mcgowan takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mcgowan rushes Soza and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Mcgowan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Soza avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mcgowan jumps guard.

Mcgowan wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcgowan managing to control the position. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Mcgowan is looking for a triangle but Soza pushes his legs off easily.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mcgowan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mcgowan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Art Mcgowan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Soza stuffs the takedown attempt from Mcgowan. Mcgowan gets slowly back to his feet. Mcgowan clinches up with Soza and pushes him back against the cage. Soza takes a shot to the head. Mcgowan goes for a takedown in the clinch but Soza prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Art Mcgowan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mcgowan taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Mcgowan wants to break free but Soza has control.
Mcgowan gets control of Soza's arms and successfully pulls guard. Mcgowan will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Soza wanted to stand there but Mcgowan had control of the position. Soza is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Mcgowan pulls Soza in to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Mcgowan keeping moving, preventing Soza from controlling successfully. Soza postures up in Mcgowan's guard and throws a big left but Mcgowan blocks it. Mcgowan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Mcgowan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that's the end of the fight! Art Mcgowan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mcgowan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

What know I have to do is go back in the gym and just focus and train harder so next time I can dominant in my match.'.
